A model or schema of interaction identifies three
factors: the work, the audience
which through an encounter and ensuing dialogue with
the work create an experience. Both
the work and the audience are transformed by the encounter,
each taking on some of the other's characteristics.
The experience is a synergistic compilation of their
characteristics and takes on a life of its own, which
may or may not continue after the moment. The encounter
exists against a background of time and space to which
it is not immune. This model is a conceptual representation,
a cognitive framework, to guide process.
